Dr. Sijie Ruan is an Assistant Professor, Special Associate Researcher at School of Computer Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology.
His research interests include spatio-temporal data mining, volunteered geographic information and urban computing.
He obtained his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of IEEE Fellow Prof. Yu Zheng, and was a visiting PhD student at Nanyang Technological University and research interns at Microsoft Research and JD.com.
He has published several papers in refereed journals and conferences, such as TKDE, KDD, AAAI, ICDE, WWW and UbiComp.
He also serves as a reviewer/PC member for several referred journals and conferences, e.g., KDD, AAAI, CIKM, TKDD and TIST.
